Morocco built a 'megaresort' in the desert as in Dubai
In the Oued Chbika desert area near the town of Tan Tan, about 300 km south of Agadir the Swiss Orascom has just begun building a resort and residential megaresort
In the first phase of the project will be built 5 five star hotels, 3 four star hotels, 1,851 housing units of various types, a golf course with 18 holes, a shopping center, a museum, a shopping street, shops, restaurants, a gym, a spa, a cinema, a convention center and a residential area for staff and others.
For Morocco, the mega project will have a direct economic impact on the country, creating over 15,000 jobs directly and indirectly.
Orascom group currently has 4 projects in progress:
1. El Gouna, the company's flagship project, a city built on the coast of Red Sea (Egypt);
2. Taba Heights, the Sinai Peninsula (Egypt), the second tourist destination after the group's business model Gouna;
3.The Cove (Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates)
4. Haram City, a city dedicated to housing built with affordability and supply for the mass population in Egypt.
